Preserve Nutrition offers in person consultations at Women in Focus Physiotherapy & Health (Wednesday) and online consultations (Thursday and Friday).

Cancellation Policy

Failure to attend a scheduled appointment is unfair to other patients and the practitioners time. 

If you are unable to attend your appointment, we require that you notify us by 12pm (midday) two days prior to your appointment to cancel or reschedule. This allows sufficient time for your appointment to be offered to clients on our waitlist.

For example:

Appointments scheduled for 9am on a Wednesday must be cancelled or rescheduled by no later than 12pm (midday) on the Monday prior.

Cancellations via text message are not accepted as they can be missed.

Failure to provide notice by 12pm (midday) two days prior to your appointment, or failure to attend your appointment, will result in 100% of the consultation fee being charged.

If you have purchased a package and do not provide the required notice to reschedule, the appointment will be forfeited and the appointment fee will not be refunded. 

A 50% deposit is required for all bookings. If you are unable to reschedule your appointment and wish to cancel your appointment, the deposit will be refunded (less transaction fees) provided notice is given by 12pm (midday) two days prior to the appointment.

No refunds will be provided for cancellations or rescheduling requests made after 12pm (midday) two days prior to the appointment.

Rebates

Private Health Funds 

Many health funds offer cover for visits to Accredited Practising Dietitians. Check with your health fund to see if you are eligible. The rebates you receive are dependent on your policy coverage. Preserve Nutrition will issue you with a receipt so that you can make a claim.

Medicare Rebates

Medicare rebates are available for Australian citizens and residents with a Chronic Condition Management Plan with a GP referral. Speak to your GP to determine your eligibility. The current Medicare rebate is $61.80 per appointment, you may be able to access up to five dietitian rebates from Medicare in a calendar year. 

Department of Veterans’ Affairs

DVA Gold Card members are covered for the cost of the consultation with referral from a GP.
