Cancellation Policy
Failure to attend a scheduled appointment is unfair to other patients and the practitioners time.
If you cannot make an appointment we request that you notify us by 12pm the working day prior, as this gives us time to fill your appointment time from our waitlist. This can be done by phoning 0410 361 390 or emailing info@preservenutrition.com.au.
Cancellations via text message are not accepted as they can be missed.
Failure to notify us of appointment cancellations by 12pm the working day prior will result in 100% of the consultation fee being charged.
If you have purchased a package and have not provided notice to reschedule your appointment by 12pm the working day prior, the appointment will be forfeited and the appointment fee will not be refunded.
A 50% deposit is required for all bookings. If you are unable to reschedule your appointment for another time, the deposit will be refunded (less transaction fees) if you notify us by 12pm the working day prior that you wish to cancel your appointment.
No refunds will be provided if you notify us after 12pm the working day prior to your appointment to reschedule or cancel your appointment.
Rebates
Private Health Funds
Many health funds offer cover for visits to Accredited Practising Dietitians. Check with your health fund to see if you are eligible. The rebates you receive are dependent on your policy coverage. Preserve Nutrition will issue you with a receipt so that you can make a claim.
Medicare Rebates
Medicare rebates are available for Australian citizens and residents with a Chronic Condition Management Plan with a GP referral. Speak to your GP to determine your eligibility. The current Medicare rebate is $61.80 per appointment, you may be able to access up to five dietitian rebates from Medicare in a calendar year.
Department of Veterans’ Affairs
DVA Gold Card members are covered for the cost of the consultation with referral from a GP.
